Cracraft
The Cracraft is my all-time favorite old stock plan update. The challenge was to design a house that could start off as a two-bedroom bungalow and easily be converted to a three-bedroom at some future date. It emulates how these old houses were able to adapt to changing needs and growing families. It doesn’t hurt that the original plans and house are absolutely adorable, with a large front porch & terrace, a beamed ceiling living room, and a fireplace nook. This house is planned to be slab-on-grade or crawl space for those southern states where basements are rare, but it could also be built with a full basement with some minor adjustments.
